Love every sport especially beach volleyball, mountain biking, and water sports like water skiing or cliff jumping.
Your favorite thing about skiing/ski racing:
It is a constant challenge and has taught me a lot about myself and overcoming adversity. It has also introduced me to so many amazing people from all different walks of life which I really appreciate.
What has your sport taught you?:
It has taught me how to feel every possible emotion and it has shown me that the harder a challenge is the more rewarding it feels when you accomplish it. Finally, I think the most important lesson I've learned is that it can be very easy to get caught up in results and outcomes, but ultimately what is most important is giving it everything you have so there are no regrets about your effort or approach. This took me a long time to learn but is ultimately very freeing because it allows me to let go of the "what if's" and excuses and stop worrying about external factors. If I gave it everything and still didn't succeed, then I can still be proud of my effort and know I did my best.
What inspires/motivates you?
Feeling like I gave it my all. Making other people happy, proud and excited.
Power fuel of choice:
Medium boiled eggs for pre-skiing breakfast. Blueberry banana peanut butter milk cinnamon smoothie for post workout (so delicious).
approach to training & racing:
I like coming up with a game plan the night before and then after inspecting, plus writing down intentions for every training day.
Your most valuable mental skill & why?
Having perspective.

Squaw Valley if it isn't crowded.
